Two Tartan teams win in x-country

The Wallaceburg Tartan cross-country team won two divisions at the Kent high school cross-country championships held Oct. 21 in Blenheim.
The Tartans, although down in numbers due to sickness, won their first ever junior girls title and won the first junior boys Kent championship since 1967.
The junior girls team includes: Erinn Lee (3rd), Karlyn Richardson (5th), Alyssa Kraayenbrink (6th), Cassandra Chortos (9th), Nicole Griffith (12th)
The junior boys team includes: Bobby Zenick (2nd), Dan Fox (3rd), Mike Foster (4th), Evan Murphy (5th).
The Tartan midget boys team finished second. Top Finishers: Matthew Kraayenbrink (4th), Brayden Fischer (5th), Jacob Mota (6th).
Other top finishers included: Kaitlyn Kraayenbrink (4th midget girls), Lauren MacTavish (7th senior girls).
